if we assume that the designation is correct, the two things that come 
to mind are network interface and wireless interface.  Do either/both 
show up in device manager?

Does any of this show up under the bus or IRQ settings?  In the BIOS 
perhaps?  Is the BIOS up to date?

I haven't done this in forever, but I remember there being a place to 
look up these designators.  Perhaps mfgr or hardware ID sites...  sorry 
I can't be more specific.
