  Near as I can tell yes, although save for driving to the Lexington 
airport (2 hrs away) there's no "public" (free) hotspots near me that I 
know of, so that I can check the wireless part.

 It works through my Linksys-Vonage router w/o any apparent problems.

  Good idea, but it's frustrating. If I knew what the the "missing" 
driver was I wouldn't be as puzzled as I am now.
