Don I had the sort of the same problem recently and I had to move the
wireless card that's in my wife's computer to another PCI slot.

Then put in the WEP number again and then it worked.
Same problem she could not get on internet.

Sounds like the same sort of problem, although when it comes to networks,
they are probably easy, just a bit over my head at the present time.
