[Ham-Computers] Re Stand Alone CD Burners

Have any of you used a stand alone CD burner by Sony, Phillips or whomever to
copy vinyl or cassette tape to a CD rom? A DJ friend of mine using a Pioneer (CD
burners are no longer made my Pioneer I am told), had excellent success copying
records onto CD for his Classic Car Show oldies gigs. 	
	
Based on his description of the procedure, it would be very easy for me to use
such a hardware device. No more difficult than the DAT, perhaps easier. 	
	
Hence, I am abandoning the idea of using the Easy CD Creator Plannum Edition
software package I purchased new. Anyone intered at $65 plus shipping? Sold ofr
$100.
