Hi All,
Yea, I know. What is a totally blind man doing playing with a scanner ... Good
sighted help is hard to find!
I have some service bulletins from Hallicrafters. Some have a logo, others do
not. I need to scan the page and end up with a file that can be put on the HCI
web site.
Here is what I am using and what I tried.
The scanner is a HP model 5100. Up to 1200 dpi and 30 bit. I am using the
software that comes with said scanner.
I tried 150 pi, black/white and scanned to an image file. Saved it as a .jpg
with 90% compression. The background was dark and the text had a whitish border.
I tired 300 pi with the same results.
I tried scanning at 150 pi, black/white and to a text file. This worked, but I
lost the logo.
What do I need to do to scan a page of black/white text, with a logo, and still
end up with a clean readable copy?
Thanks!
