[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters S-120

Just so happens I have an S120 I would let go.  Great physical condition.  I was going to restore it but don't have time.  Horrendous hum in the audio.  I replaced the filters but that's as far as I have gotten.  Contact me off list ...  We can haggle.

Has anyone out there in Hallicrafters Land had any luck on refurbishing the silver (chrome?) front panel portion of a S-120? It seems that this portion of the front panel tends to either tarnish or oxidize and I have no idea of how to get it back to original condx without ruining the silk screened lettering on the controls.


Thoughts?
