[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters S-120

Has anyone out there in Hallicrafters Land had any luck on refurbishing the silver (chrome?) front panel portion of a S-120? It seems that this portion of the front panel tends to either tarnish or oxidize and I have no idea of how to get it back to original condx without ruining the silk screened lettering on the controls.


Thoughts?
