Well Jim,
Im very glad you brought that up. That is certainly a question I was
going to pose to the reflector soon. Now that you brought it up, I will
pose my question now. Please, everyone keep in mind, I know very little
about the hows and whys and how to troubleshoot electronics. Im learning
thanks to all of you. So, many of my questions to all of you may seem
basic but to me it is somewhat complicated. So, walk me through them
with patience please as everyone always has. I have read many articles
from others saying they found numerous resistors out of spec. How does
one do that? Do you snip one end of the resistor in a circuit to see if
it is still in spec or is there another way without practically tearing
the whole radio apart. Seems to me, a resistor in a circuit is going to
have a different value than one that is just sitting on the table not
hooked to anything. Im ready for the input. I would love to keep
improving this radio to get it up to new like working condition if at
all possible.
Thanks-Bob-W0YBS
