[Hallicrafters] Good Ebay experience

I neglected to mention I recently had a great experience with a  shipping 
container product from Dave Haller; KA1W of hamradioboxes.com. Dave  custom 
builds double wall construction foam rubber lined double boxing setups to  
exactly fit any piece of equipment. I recently sold an SX-115 and my  customer 
sent me a box made by Dave with foam rubber inserts made to fit the  SX-115 
which included custom fitting around the knobs and front bezel.  Easily the 
best I've seen and perhaps another option to consider. Unashamed plug  for 
a great product for which I am not connected in any way, just  impressed.
 
Anything with a heavy transformer  should either have the  transformer 
removed and shipped separately or plan to pick it up. Anyone  know what the 
survival rate is on Valiants?
