It all depends upon your situation. Ive been running a modified HA-6/PS6 for
over 25 years as my main 6M station into a modified NCL-2000.
At another bench a HA-6 and HA-2 are set up with another PS-6 and a
HT-32B/SX-115/NCL-2000/HB copy of 6N2 T-Bolt. I also had a HA-2 modified for
220/222 before building SS up to the 110W level.
In both cases the transverters and PS are mounted above the driving radios
themselves and there have been no incidents with kids, grandkids, pets,
occassional mouse, bird, etc up to the time I did a recap on both.
Those caps are now around 50 years old and should be replaced. You can do
it by restuffing with 500V radial cans and isolate the shell entirely or
mount below chassis which is what I did.
