All good points John, thanks for mentioning them.

Many my age had the benefit of at least 3-4 years of training and experience
in the military working on tube gear and its hard to think of an older adult
starting out cold today, especially on a SX-28.

Plus I next had the benefit of working in the Service Dept of National Radio
for almost 7 years and moonlighting for two retail ham stores refurbishing
trade ins and doing general repair work on the side for all brands.

Its hard to realize that this all started in 1955 when I got a Novice
ticket....I dont feel that old!!
