[Hallicrafters] SX-43 Issues...

I apologize for this shameless self-promotion :). Dave, my company
produces re-cap kits for various Hallicrafter rigs, including the SX-43.
We are working at a greatly reduced capacity while we are re-tooling,
however, we do have the SX-43 can-capacitor and re-cap kit in stock at
the present time.
It's not *totally* pecuniary interest that causes me to mention the
product. Just *mostly*. :) I think a number of fellows on the list
here will agree with me that new capacitors in the power supply of an
old receiver is not only wise, it's likely the cause of your buzzing
noise. And the buzzing might turn to a smoking if the rig is left on
for any length of time in that condition.

I have gone through a couple items just briefly to see if all looks ok. When I powered it up and switched it to receive, the needle on the meter will not drop down and I get a loud buzz on the speaker. So I went through and replaced every tube with NOS tubes and I still get the same thing.
