All PAPER caps need to be replaced by modern caps.same applys to Electrolytics(however I would leave the originals on the chassis for cosmetics)
check all resistors and replace that are way out of tolerance.You got your hands full.GOOD LUCK ! :)

Hello all....I have SX-43 that was originally purchased by my grandpa back in 
he day and I'm interested in getting it running again.  I have gone through a 
ouple items just briefly to see if all looks ok.  When I powered it up and 
witched it to receive, the needle on the meter will not drop down and I get a 
oud buzz on the speaker.  So I went through and replaced every tube with NOS 
ubes and I still get the same thing.  
Can some one point me in the right direction as to what to do next?  I'd like to 
et it running again and add it to my shack....
