[Hallicrafters] Restringing SX71 question

Lucky You indeed!
My SX-71, a black face, the Main and Band Spread tuning capacitors go from
full closed to full open when tuned. -0- is full closed, and -100- is
full open on both of the logging scales. Clockwise rotation of both knobs
causing capacitors to open.
Any help?
