[Hallicrafters] Restringing SX71 question

My wife, Barbara, K5MOL, is in the process of restringing our SX 71. LUCKY ME!! 
to have an XYL licensed 50 years in 2011 with such manual dexterity to restring 
and tie the knots. She also hand makes jewelry as another hobby and that skill 
comes in handy for tedious work.

We need for someone  who has a Hallicrafters SX71 handy to look at the main 
tuning capacitor and the bandspread  tuning capacitor to determine if they go 
from full open to full closed when the knobs are rotated through the complete 
tuning range with the knobs.

If someone can lift their lid on their SX71 and rotate the knobs through their 
full range I would appreciate it if you would observe the tuning caps and let me 
know the physical range that they tune from full closed to full open or what 
physical range they actually travel if they do open or close if not from full 
closed to full open.

Barbara is doing the restringing at THIS MOMENT and the information would be 
very helpful in knowing if she has them restringing correctly. Your help will be
