[Hallicrafters] HT-40 transmitter and NE-2H neon lamps

Yeah,the one I have sitting here also has the NE-2H Neon Lamp sitting under 
 the chassis.Actually it is in series with another NE-2H sitting on the 
front  panel.Mine also arrived with the broken lead under the chassis.
 
The manual I got off from BAMA doesn't cover this circuit.This modification 
 was done on later models by Hallicrafters.However, a GOOGLE search on the 
HT-40  I was able to find the correct manual .
