[Hallicrafters] Re: Electronics stores and internet sales

This is a nationwide phenomenon.Electronics parts stores are going out of  
business.Marwac Electronics here in Pasadena CA ,where I used to buy parts ,  
closed it's store back in 04.Then C&H Surplus another local electronics  surplus 
store is now going out of business after 60 years ! This is just sign of  the 
times .
Now I do all of my electronics shopping online ,tubes ,resistors  ,capacitors 
etc etc.except for the solder that I can still find at my local  Radio 
Shack(They too have closed down one of their stores)
 
As an electronics instructor I've seen my classes sizes reduce from at one  
time of 40 or 50 students down to 5 or 6 students! Nobody it seems wants to  
study Electronics and engineering anymore ! Looks like the US is slowly  loosing 
its technological edge .
