[Hallicrafters] SX-24

I disagree......If you have an SX-24 or 25 aligned properly, its one of the 
period's better receivers. Far better than the National. Harder to align 
though. After a minimal recap (twistlok cans only) and a couple of resistor 
changes, my SX-24 holds stable after a 20 min warm-up, and handles SSB 
reception with ease. It's no SX-28 when it comes to low signal performance, 
but it's more than useable, and mates very well with my Gonset transmitter. 
Dead over 30 Mhz, but who cares? So is the SX-28.......there's not much 
between 30 and 40 Mhz to receive anyway.

The SX-28 will hold its own against a R-390A, but the SX-24/5 wasn't ever 
meant for that kind of performance. It's not a bad rig, just not as good.
