[Hallicrafters] ASTRON supplies

I have a RS-70M that started giving trouble early this week. The
voltage would pin the meter to the right for a bit then the supply
would kick off. That made me take the lid off and look and I found
that the fan was wired wrong. Both leads from the fan were across
the same side of the AC line.

I don't know if the supply heated enough to cause the problem or
not, but I hope that is what the deal is. I initially though the
fan was bad because I couldn't get it to come on using a heat gun so
I disconnected it to try with a cheater cord. Fortunately it worked
so I don't have to replace it, just rewire it correctly.

The reason I say fortunately I don't have to replace it is because
the fan is pop riveted on the case not attached with screws and
nuts. Drilling that thing off would be a real chore. I think most
of the troubles with Astron supplies is the regulator board. The
regulator chip is in a socket, which you cannot see unless you take
the board loose.
