[Hallicrafters] Tube socket

I have been coping with a loose/dirty 9 pin tube socket on my Hickock 600 tube tester for a long time. I finally opened the case to see what the deal is on replacing it.OMG multiple wires on all pins and its sitting just below the power transformer. After a few minutes of oh .....it occurred to me that I might try a gas welding tip cleaner as a tiny rasp to at least clean-up the several troublesome contacts.  Viola; that and some additional contact cleaner fixed the intermittent contact problem.
Just thought I would share this simple fix with the group.
