[Hallicrafters] SX-117 - Frozen BFO internal adjustment.

I'll try again for suggestions.  I did look at the HHI web site in the 
archives but didn't find help.

The BFO slug is an adjustment through the center of the BFO control 
knob shaft in my SX-117 receiver.  It appears to be frozen.  I'm trying 
PB Blaster penetrating catalyst (solvent) to get it freed.  Is there 
any experience out there who have run into the same problem and solved 
it?  Thanks in advance.
