[Hallicrafters] SX43 vs SX71 power trans swap

Hi Al, Tim, and group,
I pulled out my manuals and the requirements are as follows:
SX-43 B+ 270 volts at 105 mils; filament 6.3 volts at 3.8 amps
SX-71 B+ 270 volts at 110 mils; filament 6.3 volts at 4.4 amps
Al, I bet you are thinking of the SX-42 which does have significantly higher
current consumption (B+ 270 @ 150 mils and 6.3 volts @ 5 amps).
Now if I could just find a replacement transformer for my German SABA
AM/FM/LW/SW radio. This is a large wooden table radio which is LW/BCB/SW/FM
with 5 speakers and a motorized automatic seek tuning mechanism along with a
motor "powered" volume control. Even the loop antenna is set up to rotate.
At $10 it was a great price even though it had an obviously fried
transformer since the cabinet is immaculate. Unfortunately the transformer
is an odd shape with odd voltages in addition to the normal B+ and filament
voltages...
