I did not make the original post. I did not post the complaint of it having 
been "stolen". That was done by the author. I posted absolutely nothing 
about it.

After hearing the author's complaint by telephone, I copied all related 
posts to the HCI attorney. He can decide if anything illegal, be it a 
copyright infringement,or whatever, happened that was a violation, if it was 
in fact a violation, and handle it however he believes it should be handled. 
Not my department! I then advised Gary Brown of having forwarded it to the 
HCI attorney. The exact text of that message appears below.

Gary,

You have violated the HCI registered copyright and I have been contacted by
the original author of the material you failed to give the required legal
documentation for. I am the owner of this web site. I have turned this over
to the attorney for HCI.

The author telephoned me tonight with his complaint.

I am 'not' going to be caught in the middle of this ridiculous nonsense. I 
did absolutely zero to start it or prolong it. I posted nothing to the list 
until late this afternoon to remind one and all that the proper way to 
reprint or post material from the copyrighted HCI web site is to first 
contact the HCI Web Master, get permission and then reprint it or post it, 
with the proper cred it to the source, the HCI web site, and the author, in 
this case, Phil Atchley, KO6BB.

It seems very petty to me for any of you to fault me for what I had 
absolutely nothing to do with whatsoever. As far as I am concerned, this 
constitutes defamation of character and/or slander.

I want 'no part' of this nonsense and have absolutely nothing else to say on 
the events now or ever. I did nothing and I am not taking credit for what i 
am innocent of. So let's cut the nonsense and return this list to the reason 
it exists, Hallicrafters.

If anyone, and I mean ANYONE has anything further to say, keep it off this 
list. You can send it to me, but you will not receive a reply.
