Provided the NOAA "Winter Storm Warning" does not deposit enough heavy snow
tonight and Saturday morning to leave the Shack buried in a snow drift,
there will be a January 21st 40 meter Net.
The pre-Net portion will commence at/about 12:45 PM EST, (1745 UTC). The Net
proper will begin at 1:00 PM EST, (1800 UTC).
The frequency will be 7.280 MHZ lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and a
stirring rendition of that time honored vintage Nashville classic
"Snowflakes Keep Falling In My Bed!". The last time we got this type of
heavy snow it plugged up the exhaust pipe vent for the toilet sewer system.
My grandson figured he had plugged up the sewer line, again, so he used a
two gallon bucket of hot water and power flushed the porcelin throne. Blew
an iceball out of the vent pipe like a missile and turned my five element
six meter beam into a four element! Who needs a driver element anyhow?
If I can not get on the air, seriously, maybe W5JT, Jim or N8AZC, Mike will
fill in for me?
Here is hoping to hear you tomorrow! Great band last Saturday, sure would be
nice twice in a row!
