[Hallicrafters] SX-42 Circuit variations (?)

Well, I have been into many many SX-42's. In my opinion, this receiver was a
good example of....."Lets Try It This Way"........I have run across seven
different SX-42's, yes SEVEN. This mite be a record for production changes
on one receiver. I think this receiver was only in production for 3 years. I
have two SX-42's that look the same on the outside but under the chassis,
totally different story. One of them has the old style SX-28 RF deck parts.
