[Hallicrafters] SX-42 Circuit variations (?)

Hi Dennis;

I recently did a major repair on a SX-42. Took 2 wafers out of the
bandswitch to repair them, plus some other stuff. Worked great when I
finished. I had 3 different schematics and the radio did not match any of
them. Replace the .05 (?) screen bypass for the 2 6AG5's with mica or
ceramic, with very short leads (1/8"). The bandswitch is notorious for
shorting between rivets on both sides of wafer G, I think. It is the one
with the plate circuit from the first RF amp on one side and the grid
circuit of the second RF amp on the other side. If you have to work on
the bandswitch I can give you my experience and I have some 5-40 threaded
rod and nuts. Good luck.
