Mike and other anchorites,

It's interesting what you may find among radio collections. I wonder if
those Playboy pages are still in the receiver??

I bought a box lot of parts at an antique radio club auction. It had a few
parts I wanted, and three or four cigar boxes with bits and pieces in them.
One of the cigar boxes seemed heavier than the others and as I pulled it
out of the box I thought, "Maybe some small transformers..." But, lo and
behold, I found a partly emptied pint bottle of sour mash whiskey! Seems
as if the OM had stashed a bit o' the nip among his radio parts.

I seem to remember someone finding a small bunch of photographs among some
radio parts that would by modern standards be rated "single X".
