[Hallicrafters] Magical Marty

The Postal Inspectors will take your information concerning scams, but due
to the relative minor nature of the crime (in their opinion) they won't do
anything about it. They don't investigate unless it big time bucks or a
large scale operation.

I've have been taken a couple of times, not by this guy, for small amounts
less than $50. All I got was an acknowledgement from the USPS and an
explanation of why they were not going to take any action beyond placing the
people's names on a list.

I sometimes wonder where Martlyn gets all of his items to sell. He seems to
have a never ending supply.

What I wonder is why someone who was ripped by Magical Marty does not
take him to court. If a Money Order was sent to him, through the Postal
Service, the Postal inspectors can be contacted and a Mail fraud scam
iniated. I know that there is athorities beside Ebay and Pay Pal who can
take some action against this sort of crime, and it is a crime. I guess
that I'm lucky, I have never been ripped off I still feel that the vast
majority of Ham type radio sellers are honest. They want to make a buck,
and will, but not at the expense of lying/cheating others.
