[Hallicrafters] Tube Socket Connections

Hi Roy,
I pondered about use of this tool for some time, I found several of them in
a box of tubes from an SK.
Initially I thought it might be some sort of "heat sink" for when you are
soldering wires to plastic tube sockets.
If you rub one of the pins against your fingernail you might find that it is
slightly abrasive, i.e. not as smooth as a normal tube pin.
I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong.
