I also use an ALPS printer to print white.  I buy every ALPS printer I 
can find.  There is a demand for these printers and  they demand some 
good prices.   I have had no problem using  the ALPS with  XP.  If I 
remember right XP reckonizes the ALPS and  thats all there is to it.   I 
do  believe there  might be other printers using the  technic that ALPS 
used but not sure who they are.   The ribbons are a little expensive but 
for doing white transfer decals is probaby the cheapest way to go.   Yes 
silkscreening would be nice but the cost of a one time use is way to high.
