I fantasized about operating the
Hallicrafters HT32/SX115/HT33
that was pictured in the back of the
ARRL Handbook. It was shown in
a double rack console with a desk
shelf. I did finally operate that
station in the 1970's and It was a
great station. I could afford the
SX111.HT37 ccombo and had
many good years use before I
sold them to make way for my
 75S3/KWS1 combo.
I recently got another SX111
to go with my DX60 /HG10 and
will use them for a lot of CW/AM
 operation. My first commercial
receiver in 1956 was an SX99.
I had used a friends SX40B and
liked it. Not the most stable or
top of the line but affordable
and servicable. I got a SX100 in
1958 to go with my Ranger 1.
I still have that station!!
BTW- anyone have a good
readable schematic for the
SX111 with product detector?
I downloaded athe one from
BAMA and it is so large I can't
print it. If you shrink it it is unreadable.
Healthfully yours,
Don W4BWS
