Well fellas,
I've just finished restoring one o' them big ole whizbang military RF signal
generators that blinks, buzzes and makes coffee, so I'm offering my lovely
Hallicrafters (yes, Hallicrafters) HG-1 generator to a deserving
Halli-junkie.
This little RF signal generator is in absolutely pristine condition (photo
available upon request) with hardly a blemish on it. You'll get a unit with
no rust, no dings, no dents and a pretty-as-picture front panel. The test
leads are built into the instrument, so you can't lose them. I've neatly
recapped and re-tubed this beauty, so it works good as new (or better). The
original manual comes with it.
One neat thing about this generator, unlike similar vintage Heathkits, RCAs
and such, is that its frequency range starts down at 50 KC (or KHz for you
young whippersnappers). That means you can use it to align the first IF in a
triple conversion receiver -- which I have.
At any rate, it's a nifty little generator, and -- as they might say on
eBay -- absolutely essential to any Hallicrafters collection.
The price is $65.00 including CONUS ground shipping.
73,
Craig
