This is very interesting.  I have one with the eye also and thought it might 
be a very good modification, especially since the eye escutheon is about 1/8" 
closer to the dial than the escutheon for the bandspread dial on ther opposite 
side.  Is yours the same? I had picked up another one, sans eye, and was 
planning to sell the eye model, but now I guess I will hang on to it.  Please give 
me your thoughts on this.
