[Hallicrafters] SX-15 & SX-16's rarity

Yeah,

It wasn't that much! I was the one that got that. It
came from the Western Historic Radio Museum in Reno,
NV. Probably paid top dollar, but saved myself some
headaches in the process. Somebody loved this rig,
it's very nice and everything works on it. The unit is
incredibly sensitive and has amazing audio. I put a
PM-23 to it temporarily. Accidentally turned the band
selector too far and snapped the cord (probably not
the first to do this) which gave me reason to open her
up. Did the fix and I was off again. 

Managed to picked up Radio Australia, Netherlands
Radio and a few Hams - KO6NM was running the net (AM
iNet?), god help them if their wives ever listen in.:)
A very professional and impressive bunch of guys.

Scooped up a SX-15 too with a "magic-eye" tuner which
seems OEM, but who knows. I know they didn't come that
way, did they? It looked pretty good.  We shall see.
