Interesting. I'll try that on my HT-32B this weekend. I don't recall
having any issues with carrier suppression but it may be fun to play
with.
I have some other transceivers with 7360's and note that at least one of
them has a mu-metal shield over the balanced modulator tube. These were
frequently used to shield CRT's from stray magnetic fields but there are
likely some still available for 9 pin min tubes as well.
