[Hallicrafters] Grounding A Vertical Antenna

DAVID: I am using a Cushcraft AP8A vertical mounted about 3 feet off the
ground on a piece of pipe. I only use a wire to a ground stake and it
works great. Running 100 watts to a TS-430S and consistantly receive 5x9
Plus signal reports in Australia and New Zealand on both 40 and 20 meter
SSB. and have WAS on 75, 40, 20 meters with it. Forget the "Experts" and go
with what you have and you will be surprise what you can work.
