I use a TV type balun coil to match the old 3-terminal
receivers to 50 ohms. Of course it isn't a "perfect"
match, but it does an excellent job. Those baluns
made for use in the cable television markets have to
make it down to at least 5 MHz for certain functions
and almost always make it down to the broadcast band
without any problems.

back go to either of the websites that are listed at
the end of this message.
There are other ways including winding your own balun,
using an antenna matching unit, etc. But, as a cheap
and effective "off the shelf" fix, the TV balun works
wonders.
