Try this one : drill and tap (2-56 threads) the broken shaft of the
bandspread/main tuning selector on the SX-42 , doing likewise to a 3/16
spare control shaft. Insert a 1" 2-56 screw , bottom it out tight in the
tapped original shaft. Cut the head off and dress the end. Thread on two
appropriate sized nuts and back them tight to each other. Thread on the
spare shaft, tighten and cut to length. Install knob and TADAH . Rotate
clockwise only as original !!
