Frank,
I just bought (today) a Stancor A-8101 audio output transformer on eBay for
a radio restoral I'm doing (Philco 7-610). The values for this transformer
seem to be exactly what you are looking for: 500ohm |X| 3.2ohm & 6-8ohm .
The only problem is that this specific model is no longer made so you may
need to
try and track down a used or NOS item.
Hope that helps ID a usable part for you.
And you might want to look at the Stancor website and check out the many
audio transformers they currently make to see if one suits your needs should
you not be able to find an A-8101.
