[Hallicrafters] SX-110 capacitors

DBF,

Good warnings!  You bring up some additional issues
beyond the bulb thing and I'd like to hear more.

I always suspect old electrolytics, and will keep a
close eye on them until I can find suitable
replacements.  For now, the voltages are all what they
should be and power draw is 65 watts (spec is 75
watts) so I'd say the power supply is healthy.  Your
comment did not specify electrolytic, though.  Are
there other types of caps in these old sets that are
suspect?  Are there certain brands that have proven
over time to have reliability problems?  What
specifically have you had problems with in terms of
capacitors and resistors?
