Hi Mike,

I am not sure about all this.  I just pulled my SC-77 and there are 2 labels 
of interest on the back.

The first one reads in part:   " The hallicrafters Canada, Ltd. and goes on 
with the voltage input specs.  There is no mention of line frequency.  Since 
this is an ac/dc set, frequency would make no difference. The label had the part 
number 31A3180.

The second label is of particular interest.  It says, "Any person installing 
or operation this receiving set without forst having purchsed a license from 
the Minister of Transport of Canada is liable on summary conviction to a fine 
not exceeding twenty five dollars and the receiving set mat be forfeited to Her 
Mageaty by order of the Minister for such disposition as the Minister may 
direct.  

Disconnect power cord before removing"  The part number is 31A3176

Please note that the entire label is printed in capitol letters.
