[Hallicrafters] Paper cap substitutes on 50 kHz if Hallis?

Hello Jack and others:
I'm recapping a SX-101 Mk1 right now and the little pile of "Tiny Chief" caps is growing on my bench. My rig has a fistful of black beauty caps as well. Were these common to the SX-101 or might mine have been installed later?

I too would like to see comments as I changed all of the Tiny Chief caps in
my 101 and it seems to work just fine.

changing the paper caps out on 50Kc if Hallicrafters Radios (SX-100, 101,
111, etc) with the newer plastic ones we see in various places like Antique
ES.
> FYI, the old paper caps were described in the article as being more of an
RLC combo rather than just a plain old cap and the engineers literally had
to incorporated those characteristics into the receiver. The newer caps were
far closer to an ideal C than the older stuff so say a .01uF cap in the old
days would have some inductance and resistance inherent in it's design while
the new mylar caps would be closer to the .01uF without any significant L or
R. Apparently, changing out to the new caps can have a negative effect on
those aforementioned rx's. Anyone care to comment on this? Thanks. Cal,
