Many thanks for your comments on the SX-25 Band 4,  and on the SX-25 in
general.  Nice to hear from others about the performance of this
receiver, as I spent more than a few hours in study, repair, and
alignment of the top band on this set.  I finally concluded that this
was as good as this particular set would do,  even when propagation
seemed VG for the 16-28 mhz freqs. I even obtained a complete set of the
RF coils, to use for comparision with the ones in the set (looking for
modifications).

The SX-25 performs very well on the lower three bands, which covers so
much of the used freqs. 

This was my favorite set until I found a SW-17.  The features of the
SX-17, along with the large tuning knobs that turn so smoothly, made it
an instant hit with me.
