[Hallicrafters] Cold storage for vaccum tubes

Darell,

I don't have the answer but will note a couple of pre-solid state things:
The AM radios in automobiles of years ago used tubes and would spend hours,
if not days in zero-degree temperatures without harm to the electronics. I
would leave my car in that kind of weather for a week at a time before
using it (and the radio).
Also, military equipment in the "old days" was usually spec'd to survive
and operate in cold weather climates. They may have required some heat
source to keep the ambient temperature above some lower limit, but I don't
know if that was the case.

73,
Ollie.
