[Hallicrafters] How do you ship boatanchors?

The packaging suggested by Ed here is excellent and should do well. I
have used similar procedures to pack almost 30 BAs that I have sent to
the mainland via USPS Parcel Post. Nothing has been lost or damaged yet
so I use them exclusively when sending or receiving big gear. The three
R390As and nonAs that I have sent have gone in separate boxes just like
Ed suggests. I also sent a rare SX23 to the mainland without problem
through USPS Parcel. Only once did I use UPS and even though the radio
did not suffered, the box arrived well battered. I don't like it whe
they tell me to prepare a box for a 6 foot fall.

Best 73s to all!
