Not a Hallicrafters but there are a lot of knowlegable people out here.

Here is a further description of this set.

1. Battleship gray 8^).
2. Latching handles to slide in/out of a rack.
3. Frequency display via light shining through a matix of sorts.
4. Modular construction with all Sub minature solder in tubes.
5. It seems I recall it was built by an "old time" radio company like
Packard Bell, Bendix or some such.

I even remember the year I got it.  Brought it home from the MARS station
I worked at in 1972.  It was my wifes introduction to "Boatanchoritus" as
I cleaned the modules and baked em out in a NEW BRIDES oven 8^) She's
taken all these radios in stride ever since.
