[GreenKeys] M-15... Auto Line Feed After every printed character

To be sure, I'll ask, is the LF definitely happening AFTER the type bar has finished impacting the platen?
Also, does the LF operate normally when the LF key is pressed at the keyboard?

Another thought...
If the machine is typing the sent text without garbled or skipped characters, then the false line feed is NOT interfering with the reception of the next Space bit & decoding the next character. That seems to eliminate any problems in the selector magnet, sword assy, selector vanes & type bars.  So the LF must be almost simultaneous with the print action or immediately after the type bar has been thrown up to the paper.

The LF is accomplished via one of the Function Levers. When the LF Function Lever is selected (by the position of the Selector Vanes) a notch in the LF bar slides upward to be engaged by the Function Bail (an extension of the Print Bail). If the LF Function bar or LF Push bar are out of place somehow, then the Function Bail part could catch on the LF bar's notch & force a LF at the platen.

So, I think you should give the LF Function Lever & its Push Bar a close examination for broken or bent parts. Something could have happened to these parts when moving or reassembling the machine.

If the machine is set up with loop current, and the keyboard is used for the letter input, with the motor OFF, hand turning the motor while watching the LF Function parts closely, it may show that the Bail is catching the Push Bar for the LF.

I've attached a couple of figures to illustrate the parts & possible situation.

I want to thank everyone that responed to my cry for assistance. Still have the problem. Very strange though. The unit was running great for years. Then needed to move so I removed the keyboard and lifted the typing uint off the base. When I reassembled the two pieces, problem surfaced. In local loop it does it with every key I press on the keyboard. Pulled the keyboard and ran ITTY through my ST-6... same issue. Perfect typing just a line feed after every character.

Thanks again for the comments.
