[GreenKeys] Weird hardware size -- getting OT

Ah yes, the numbered sizes 0 through 12 (I think that's the biggest)
Perhaps related to wire and sheet metal gauges? And the thickness isn't
independent of the metal involved either. Maybe we're stuck with it
because after you go to all the trouble to memorize it all you're
reluctant to give it up.
Started a new job in 1972 and one of the first training sessions for new
hires was about our transition to the metric system. I left there 10
year later and there hadn't been a lot of metrification going on for the
average employee. I only heard about new product parts designs being in
metric.
