The spacing feed pawls should stay off ofthe spacing drum until the printing carriage returns all the way to the left. Check adjustments 2.39and 2.40. On another matter, the spring tension in the left hand spacing drum is optimized for 100 WPM operation. The idea is that if it works OK for 100 WPM, it will also work just fine for 60 WPM. The heavy springtension can cause a bounce at the left hand printing margin and sometimes cause a jumble of lettersat the left margin. If you only run your machine at 60 WPM, you might want to consider easing up onthe spring tension in the left spacing drum. (The left margin letter jumble typically only affects two orthree spaces. The fact that your problem in ACRLF happens at the ninth space indicates anotherissue.) See adjustment 2.38 for the left spacing drum spring tension. Good luck with your project. It gets stopped about an inch short (9 character spaces to be precise)Does anyone have any insight as to what may be the problem, and what I can do to correct it?Thanks!MikeKD7VRG
