Some time ago I researched the grease Collins Radio specified
for lubricating the gears and cams in the R-388. What I came up
with was one version of Aeroshell grease, a synthetic grease.
That led me to some FAA accident reports where the mixture of
this synthetic grease and the previously used petroleum grease in
aircraft gear boxes had caused crashes. I have a tube of it (will
never use it all) looks like butterscotch frosting.
The more I try to learn about lubricants the more confused I
get. There is stuff called turbine oil which is supposed to be
for fine high speed machinery. I got a sample of turbine oil
years ago from one of the large oil companies for use in
relubricating the oilite bearings in tape recorders. Might be
suitable for TT machines.
BTW, my understanding via a former Bell Labs person is that
KS means Kearny Specification and was applied to items not made
by Western Electric but bought by them for the Bell System. Also
D-spec items mean developmental and were made either by Bell Labs
or under their direct supervision. Lots of WE motion picture
sound gear is D-spec.

You can get it at just about any fabric store. I learned about this when I encountered a secretary at work deep in discussion with a coworker who restores full-sized steam locomotives for a hobby. Her hobby was restoring sewing machines, and they were deep in a discussion of freeing old rusted mechanisms, cleaning bearings, degunking and lubrication. It turns out that an old sewing machine that's been rusting in a barn for 50 years is no more or less a problem than an old locomotive that's been rusting in a city park for 50 years. Aside, that is, from the matter of size.
